To utilize CAD as a design tool efficiently, the designer must be able to generate, modify, and change a 3D model of a part in order to build a realistic depiction of an envisioned thing. Before getting into the details we are here to tell you that if you are living in Singapore, you have the advantage that you can buy solidworks in Singapore which are ready to use.
You’ll learn about and utilise more tools and features accessible in most CAD systems in this article, and you’ll use your new CAD abilities to the production of increasingly complicated parts that will be employed in subsequent activities (as components in the assembly of parts) to produce entire products.
Pay special attention to the surroundings in which you are working while you complete the activities in this activity. It’s crucial to know the distinction between sketch tools and features tools while using CAD software. Within a drawing, for example, drawing components (such as points or shapes) can be patterned.Outside of the sketch context, however, pattern tools are available to construct patterns of features (such as holes or protrusions)

Equipment
3D CAD modelling software on a computer
CAD (computer-aided design) files:
- The bushing
- Pattern in a Circle
- Holes Drilled
- Taper-Extrude
- Fillet Chamfers o Fillet Chamfers o Fillet Chamfers
- Converge
- Half on the left
- The Loft
- Paper Cutter
- Pattern: Rectangular
- Support for the Ribs

Procedure
A designer must understand what model features are available and how they operate in order to properly utilise a CAD application as a design tool. This assignment will assist you in comprehending and utilising the feature tools included in most CAD systems.
- A positive or negative taper angle can be applied to extruded objects. The architecture of an ice cube is a classic example of a tapered extrusion. The ice cube’s sides are tapered with a draught angle to make it easier to remove it from the ice cube tray. The next thing you’ll do is to save the file.
- Open the Intersect file and, on the drawing, conduct an intersect extrusion all the way through the existing object to see what happens. It’s worth noting that the dialogue box could seem different in various versions of Inventor.
- Save it under a new name.
- SquareFigureYourInitials can be edited. Using the Intersect extrusion, approximate the curvature of the shoulders with the ipt portion.
- Right-click the sketch and select Slice Graphics to view the sketch lines that connect with the current geometry.
- For each instance of the Hole function, a hole centre is required. Drilled Holes is a file that should be opened. The current feature is a blind hole that was designed for you.
- Start working on this file
- To make the Rubber Handle Sleeve, use the Revolve feature.
- Using real dimensions or the dimensioned graphic, use the Revolve tool to generate a 3D solid CAD model for the Upper Die Center for the Button Maker.
- The loft feature allows the user to combine two or more forms on various planes to form a solid or surface. Launch and utilise the Loft file.
- Make a solid 3D model of the Automoblox tyre. Use your own measurements or the dimensioned illustrations.
- Use the dimensioned drawings to model the Upper Die Pressure Ring for the Button Maker. Use the Revolve and Circular Pattern tools to create a circular pattern.
- Copy the existing cylindrical extrusion six times in the horizontal direction and four times in the vertical direction using the rectangle design.
- Using the dimensioned illustration, make the Button Maker’s Base Plate.
- It should be noted that the resulting feature on an outside corner is called a round.
- Use the chamfer function.
- Use shell function to remove unnecessary mess.
- Use a mirror function to create a mirror image of the geometry.
- Make the Bottom Die Plate for the Button Maker by making half of the part and replicating it across the centre line. Add the huge centre hole but leave out the other holes for now.
- Save the file after using the sweep function to extrude the circle along the existing route to produce the shape of a paper clip.
The above 3D CAD procedure is used to create a wire coat hanger.
